HELLO, NOVEMBER

Whistler got its first snowfall this past weekend and usually it melts within the first couple days but it seems to be sticking around.
Maybe this means it will be an early season full of snow? Hard to say! Speaking of which…

PREP TO SKI

Whistler Blackcomb opens at the end of this month, on November 25, 2021. And all Season Passes and EDGE card prices are 20% off for another 2 weeks. If you’ve been on the fence, now’s the time to secure your passes at a discounted price. One thing that is changed from last year is that you will no longer need to make a reservation to ski or snowboard! You will however need to make reservations to dine on-mountain and like everywhere in B.C you’ll need to show your vaccination passports to dine inside. With this early snowfall, it’s sure to be an amazing year on the slopes. There’s still time to buy your tickets for another epic season.

TIME TO DINE

Whistler’s Cornucopia is just around the corner and I’ve secured tickets to the Vanessa Vineyard Winemaker’s dinner at Fairmont Chateau Whistler. There are so many events to choose from, it’s hard to decide! There are still tickets to many Winemaker’s dinners (Burrowing Owl is another one that is sure to sell out quickly) and Tasting events so check out the Cornucopia website for complete details and to buy tickets.

LIGHTS OUT

Vallea Lumina Whistler starts up again beginning November 26 and it’s an unforgettable adventure into the woods in the evening and is perfect for all ages and abilities. It’s a multimedia night walk in ‘pursuit of hidden wonders’ and takes place at the majestic Cougar Mountain. It may be a little bit too early to start talking Christmas but this would be a great experiential gift for family!

AUDAIN ART MUSEUM

Whistler’s iconic art museum released a new exhibit late-October. It’s called Riopelle: The Call of Northern Landscapes and Indigenous Cultures. It focuses on Canada’s northern landscape and use of indigenous motifs to construct complex paintings, sculptures and prints. Jean Paul Riopelle was a member of the Montreal-based collective known as les automatistes. Plan your visit now to see this unique exhibit.

ESCAPE…Whistler!

Grab your friends and head to the Escape Room, a real-life gaming experience where you’ll be presented with puzzles and clues that you must solve in order to ‘escape’ the situation! This is a fun activity, especially in November where the weather can be somewhat…variable!
