Whistler Market Update June 8th:
Though we are seeing a slower market from March’s all time market height in activity we are still seeing a sign of accelerating house prices due to strained housing supply. On top of this, people are opting into their option of lending as money is cheap right now. May still saw a 40% increase in sales compared to slower April where we had tighter travel restrictions. As local and regional vaccinations ramp up, we are expecting to see a summer that is as busy, if not more busy than last summer. The word is out that Whistler is a four seasons resort; a #1 voted ski destination, a world class downhill bike-park, 5 star restaurants, shopping and accommodation, I feel this market will only be moving upwards for the foreseeable future.
