The Whistler real estate market continues to see high buyer demand. November saw a 43% sales to active ratio meaning 4 of every 10 listings sold. December saw a slower month with a sales to active ratio of 25%, or 1 of every 4 listings selling. Historically December is a slower month for sales as people focus on the holiday season.
This December, I feel the lower sales to active ratio was also affected by a lack of inventory. With 83 sales in November, buyers are active but there are fewer options to purchase. Since supply is capped and demand increasing, expect to see the 2021 market to continue to favour sellers.
