PAR FOR THE COURSE

Not only does Whistler have world-class skiing, we also have world-class Golf! We are lucky enough to have five courses nearby to choose from. Whistler’s courses don’t open until May, but in Pemberton, a quick 25 minute drive north are Sunstone Golf Club and Big Sky Golf Club in Pemberton. With spectacular views of Mt. Currie, they offer outstanding golf with affordable green fees.

SUNSTONE GOLF CLUB
The unique course offers two layouts – the first 9 spans across wide, grassy meadows that includes the signature hole. The back nine at Sunstone is more forested, less wide and certainly more difficult. Both are a great time and offer unique holes, water features and plenty to keep you guessing! The Sunstone Bar & Grill is always a great stop after – they make a fantastic Caesar!

BIG SKY GOLF CLUB
Arguably the more well-known of the two, Big Sky offers just that – Amazing views of Mount Currie, blue skies and an incredibly gorgeous and well-designed course. Bent grass fairways, sand bunkers and over 7,000 yards of the finest golf conditioning, this course was designed by Robert Cupp. For the ULTIMATE golf experience, have a look at their heli-golf experience that features a helicopter ride up to Mount Currie to practice your drives off the famous 19th hole.

Golf’s not your sport? Not to worry, send your partner on their own and hit up one of the other MANY activities there are to do in Whistler this spring.
Stay tuned for my round-up of Whistler courses once they are open. Until then, make the drive to Pemberton, you won’t regret it!
